Rites of Fertility:
RoM Maud, Aegnor, Sparrow Maud and her handler, Lea, were set to go. Today was the big day! The ice fishing day! Not far from their home, was a large frozen lake. Earlier in the fall, It'd still been a little thin and Lea had been afraid that Maud would fall through the ice, so they'd waited until mid autumn to take this test. Maud bad to collect as many fish as possible and deposit them in a pail, without eating them, before the day ended! The task before them seemed easy. Maud was excited and ready to go. She was ready to find all the fish and prove herself a worthy tokota.
The two began the short walk to the lake. They entered a small woodland area where Maud was distracted by a badger home. "Come on Maud. We've got to get to the lake. You can sniff around for woodland creatures later." Lea was impatient with her fluffy tokota. She was always getting distracted by the most trivial things. Maud pulled herself away from the badger scent and happily bounced to along beside + 10 RoF Maud, Eggnog, and Aegnor A long journey was ahead of three tokotas and their handlers. A long journey is always better when spent in the company of others. Maud and her handler, Lea, Eggnog and his handler, Elocinyma Leppilk, and Aegnor and his handler, Shade, were gathered at the marked starting place for their journey. The three sets had agreed to work together to get through the long journey in time, and most were feeling optimistic. They had all taken care to pack plenty of food, water, and warm clothing, and had furthermore divvied up essentials for each person to carry. along with her own provisions, Lea kept the three tents and extra blankets. Elo was in charge of the sleeping bags and the navigation equipment. She had taken special care to pack a working compass and flares, just in case they became lost or stranded. Shade had all of the cooking and safety equipment. Among other things, he had a trusty frying pan, matches to light fires, a first-aid kit, and some rope.
